Post weightlifting vomiting feeling
    #6505757 -

After intense workouts I tend to feel like Im close to vomiting, and if I try to force some food down I feel even closer to vomiting (makes post workout shakes and meals a lil tough, I tend to have to take small sips and small bites and take my time). Ive noticed some people in forums mentioning this as well and they just seem to accept it and some seem to see it as a sign of a good intense workout.
But what the hell is it really? Why do I feel like throwing up? Something to do with chemicals n hormones n shit circulating or whatever Im sure (or maybe a lack of nutrients?), but does anyone have a clear specific physical reason for this?

I was always told that it was low blood sugar. Usually, I just sip a protein shake afterwards and I'm fine.

It used to happen a few years back when I first started lifting, now it rarely does.

Damn...I do remember the days of me walking home from the gym, leaving a trail of puke along the way, lol.

More food pre workout and more breathing. I had that problem a few months into serious training too. It stuck around for a few VERY uncomfortable weeks but eating the right amount of food at the right amount of time fixed that.

Macronutrient timing is really important. Make sure you've had some carbs before you workout and it'll tide you over. You'll otherwise get that nauseated, hypo feeling.... I really dreaded squats and heavy leg presses. I usually get right to the point of yakking, but never actually yak so it was pretty shitty. I would have felt a lot more comfortable just vomitting but yeah, good luck! When you're doing compound lifts, BREATHE for compounds.

It was the same way with me. Fucking squats and presses. Whenever I was maxing out on them, just doing 3 or 4 reps, they would make me feel sick. Only threw up once and was lucky enough to make it to the bafroom. I don't have a scientific explanation for this though, it probably just means that we're getting too sexy.

On storing pedro tea...

Brewmaster: Well, the mescaline will still be in there, but I'd be afraid of it conjealing and trying to escape after it grew in size from eating all the other shit in my fridge, and possibly my dogs if it got out.

Pithlit: sentient drugs, now that is an idea ...

OneMoreRobot: Idea? It's a fuckin' reality. You know Salvia? Nigga stole my TV.

It's a combination of low blood sugar and the release of lactic acid into the blood stream. You also might not be eating enough before hand, but be careful. It isn't very pleasant to workout on a full stomach.

It definitely gives you a physical and mental BLAHHHHH feeling. Especially when you squat, deadlift or leg press so hard that once you stop, it feels like your soul is slowly entering back into your body.

Breathing really helps though. Make sure you've got some carbs in your system and it's usually not as bad. I think that just focusing on solid breathing and the thought of it curbs some of the mental edge off too.
