cow dung dry or freash

im getting mixed answeres on this dose cow dung need to be dry befor pasturizing?
this is the way im gunna do it if, boil at 165 for 2.5 hours let cool in sink ring as good as i can hang dry for a day then them spawn?
ok is this right jus double checking

yes make sure it is the dry stuff

you dont have to let it hang for a day either


after pasturizing drain as much water out as possible, put in sink with a 50/50 ice bath around container with dung in it
stir often so that it cools down quicker and after it stops steaming completely even after you mix it all up from the bottom. use oven or flow hood take a hand full at a time squeeze it as hard as you can into a separate container. after you do this just crumble it in to your pan that you sterilized that your going to use as your casing pan. do this until youve got an 1 1/2"open jars scrape off top layer of verm if you have it. crumble cakes in to pan cover the mycelium with another 1/4" of dung then put you casing mix on top of that what ever it is you use(i use cactus soil)

thats it no problems or complaints
