This is what i did... I hope this wont screw anything up
1. I crumbled up the cakes 2. Let sit overnight 3. Placed the cakes in the TIN 4. I covered it with the vermic... (Here is where i think i messed up) I palced it into the terranium, at about 82F, RH=95%. I didnt do that pre-pinning thing? Where u cover it with foil..
Will this mess everything up? Or does this mean it might just be an uneven pinset? Currently I have the casings in the terranium, at 82F and about 97% RH, will this initiate Pinning?
-Yes I am jrefereing to the stuff in my other post about cobweb mold...

No, but you might want to let it get some warmer temps so some mycelium colonized the casing layer.

once you gather and read all the info on the growth cycle of cubensi , you will make your life simple by rembering what we are trying to accomplish with home cultivation. we want t o try and mimick mother nature as closely as humanly possible, one of the key factors in the life of a mushroom is the triggering of the formation of pinheads. one of the key elements in this process is a drop in relative humidity, which is what happens when the mycelium emerges from the ground into the atmosphere.
drop your humidity level, hon

I let them sit overnight in a Sterile Ziplock bag that they were crumbled in..
So right now I shoudl start to lower the Humidity and that will cause the pinning to start. Even thgouth its only 2 days after i cased???
What humidity shoudl i get.. like 85%

mintcent, some people leave thier crumpled spawn in the casing tray overnight before casing to let the peices get started growing back together but this doesn't seem to be nessecary.

If read of people leaving crumbled cakes overnight to re-colonise or something like that. It's not a mistake, I don't do it myself but I'm sure it will be fine. Growing mushrooms is an art and you can only really learn by doing it and getting the "feel" for what you are doing. Good luck!
