Hydrochloric Acid

wasn't really sure where to post this but I'm needing to find a reliable source of Hydrochloric Acid in the UK, any ideas?

Its neat stuff, but this really isn't the best place to ask about it.
And the shroomery doesn't really have a CHEM section. But I guess you could ask in otherdrugs.  Be careful with that stuff.
And BTW, when it comes to finding NaOH, you can use KOH if you have trouble finding "good" Lye.

I KNOW Lye isn't Hydrochloric acid :wink: , just thought I would let you know.

muriatic acid. its used to balance the ph of pools. its just hcl with a different name. and for the NaOH, i had to order red devil lye online because i couldnt find anything in stores that was pure NaOH.

As for the Lye boots carry their own brand of "Caustic Soda" 100% Sodium Hydroxide, I dont know where that came from. Will be sure to source some muriatic, thanks. Oh and NewbieShroomie there was no need for that, I didn't click your link I sourced it first...

Go to a hardware store. Walk in and just ask them if they have it... they won't think twice about pointing you to it. If they don't have it, they're a piss-poor hardware store and you'd probably be best served to avoid it for all of your hardware needs.

maybe if i was ordering 40 bottles of the stuff, but ordering a solitary bottle of drain opener is nothing to be worried about imo.

If you dont want to order some, go to to any big chain hardware store and look for muriatic acid. Sold as cement cleaner. Also pool aplications.
