Where can i get some culture in NYC

Any neet exhibits or museums or galleries? Anything open late? Hooka bars? I got a friend that wants to see what the art scene is all about. I know of the main museums, i thought about Alex Greys place as well.

Got any ideas?

defiantly check out the chapel of sacred mirrors...... it is amazing... thats Alex Grey's thing. the 20th there is an awesome party there. the community that surrounds these party's is amazing... so much love and so much creativity. i strongly strongly suggest going..... there's dj's and light shows and Alex and Allison will be painting live..... check it out...if your looking for culture. that is were you should look.

Yeah theres hookah bars and head shops all over the place in the village. There's culture everywhere. Everything is open late.

do you have a particular date?

sometimes to find the best stuff, pick up a copy of the onion and look in the events section.. their art, music and theatre listings are pretty good..

i'll ask my gf and designer friends what they know of that is going on, too.

she should check this guys store out, too.. his artwork is really simple, but really cool.. and he has his friend's stuff, too...
