I noticed a few of mt PR jars were all white had like black patches it kinda looked like swarms of ants kinda.... So i oepned the jars up an on the top layer it was all black/gray fuzzy, so i dug in a lil and its white but with black spots, I assume this is black pin mold?
What do I do now I threw the jars away as well as the substrate washed the jars and cleaned my work environment but I cant clean incubator because i have other jars in it that are doing great... do I have alot to worry about in regards to the incubator, the jars infected were always sealed and tinfoiled while in incubator.... Im just hoping it didnt sread inside incubator
Is my whole grow area and kitchen now contaminated???
what do I do to get rid of this?
the black stuff showed up at all innoculation points
The problem didn't get in them from the incubator. It was probably a syringe. My incubation and grow area is not sterile at all and I have a near perfect percentage now. One time I had a bad outbreak of black pin mold and it was due to syringes. I must have contaminated them during production. Best of luck and don't panic.
