I went to sleep sometime last night at I guess 1AM or earlier, after I finished a Family Guy DVD. Well I drank a 1.5L bottle of wine, I think it was somewhere around 15% abv and 2 beers, so I didnt think I was in trouble of getting wasted.

Well next thing I know I wake up in the fucking bath tub with about 3 inches of water. I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK!!!" So I got out and looked around and I saw that it was 1:44am. I was fucking confused and scared shitless. What the fuck happened?!!!!

It sounds like you got really drunk and blacked out...

Maybe the alcohol mixed with some medication or something?

Yea thats just weird as hell though, I cant believe I filled the bath tub up 3 inches put the drain plug down, got undressed and never noticed it. LOL

Be careful. It sounds like you did have a blackout, as Wysefool stated and you could have put yourself in danger. Perhaps a controlled experiment is warranted with a friend watching over you. If you find that you do have blackouts drinking, or with a combination of drinks, you may be able to find out what your limit is or what combos to avoid.

Yea, I think the wine did it to me. I dont really drink wine, but the other nite when I drank wine I blacked out as well. So maybe the wine did it.

I love wine and drink it on a daily basis unless I'm fasting. But unlike any other alcoholic drink, wine DOES something to a guy. If I go over 2 glasses, even spread out through the day, stuff starts happening. And this from a dude who's routine used to be a 24 pack of bottles and a pint 3-5 nights a week. Stick with that Vino!! Just maybe have a little less than 2 bottles next time  :grin:

Ya wine tends to make people black out even on small amounts, I don't know why it is but the hangover is usually worse too.

Everything makes sense except that you only filled up the tub with 3 inches... Maybe you wanted to soak a bit and sober up but you didn't want to fill the tub too full and drown in it?

Yea I had no fucking clue why it was filled only 3 inches....but the funny thing is, I never once have had a hangover on this shit or even felt groggy the next morning since I have been drinking complete bottles since the beginning of this week.

Yeh man blackouts are really bad. Red wine gives you pretty bad hangovers if your not a daily drinker, other wines aren't as bad. Just be careful with those black outs. One time I blackedout at around noon time, I drove to the fucken movies, still blacked out, watched a whole damn movie, then I wake up in my car thinking all is fine, I start driving realize I have a flat tire, replace it. Then I realize my headlights don't turn on, finally I Notice I crashed, not that bad but I basically jumped a fucken curb in between 2 fucken trees slightly missing both of them, the curb blew my tire, and totally fucked my car's electrical system. When I get home I notice a ticket stub, an empty 750ml of vodka, puke with nacho burrito sauce all over me. And apparently I stole 2 fire extinguishers. Shit was really fucked up, some people blackout and just lay there, others go ape shit like me and you TrancedShroom.

Er, when you people say 'blackouts' what do you mean? not remembering big chunks of the night? cause that happens to me all the time but i generally don't worry about it... you probably only put 3 inches of water in the bath because you realised it was dangerous to fill it any deeper. just cause you don't remember it doesn't mean you weren't thinking logically(ish) at the time, however slowly/fuzzily/poorly the ol' brain was functioning!

Saying that maybe i should take it more seriously. couple of years ago i woke up after a night out with bandages on my arms - bit confusing. turned out i didn't remember an entire 4 hours or so from london club to being thrown out to wandering the streets with my cousin looking for a late night bus, passing out, ambulance, couple of hours in hospital, drips in both arms, long (expensive) taxi ride home... still don't know what hospital it was. promised myself i'd never get that bad again but recently i have almost done a couple of times, though at university so i've gone to bed rather than hospital...

Blacout are when you are put on cruise control and dont know what you are doing the whole time you are doing it. Basically you could do anything and not know what you are doing until you just snap out of it, and you will not remember anything about it.

When I was like 16 I had two blackouts due to wine. First one I was downtown back home and drank too much with my buddy, we were drinking in some hotel. Next thing I remember I was laying behind some building, puked then blacked out again, then I remember laying in some random field with my shoes off (this was in the fall in the north-west so it was quite cold) then finally I wake up in my room with a wicked hangover. I should mention that where I was drinking and my house there was about 8 miles in between.

The other time I was out with the same buddy and my girlfriend at the time, I drank too much once more, but I was still coherent. Me and my girl go back to my house. We start to fool around and I looked at the clock and it was around 12:30am then a little while later I looked again (still having sex) and it was 4:00am, finished up then I asked her if we had been going at it that long, she couldn't remember, both of us had blacked out at around the same moment, during sloppy drunken sex, I know what you're thinking, "how sweet".

I don't know what it is but wine fucks with you. I stopped drinking wine (and drinking to get drunk), I stick to gin and beer.

I dont blackout, but I do have times, when I will be walking around, like, half awake, and half asleep, kind of aware
of what I,m doing, but not able to wake myself up,
hasn,t been a problem yet, until I find myself driving,
that would be weird. :confused:

I black out sometimes when I drink a lot, one day I woke up and had 3 cigarettes crushed up on my desk and my floor in my bedroom, what was I doing that for?
Another time I woke up the next day and had oatmeal cereal on the floor in the kitchen and a mess on the counter, I dont remember even making any munchies at all that night.
I slept walked too before, I woke up on the living room couch, confused how I got there.

i was drinking beers on an empty stomach with a couple people i know a while back. after the 6th tallboy i decided to take a hydrocodone which was the last thing i recall.

i woke up well after sunup laying on my bed on top of 4 textbooks with a small puddle strangely placed area in my room, my bass guitar was knocked over against the window and a few beer bottles that i didn't buy were empty in the room. i was sleeping on my arm so that as my eyes opened i could see a gooey, eight inch long cut passing over my elbow across my arm. i was in bad shape, not to mention my arrival to work in a few hours.

i really don't know what happened, and my two drinking parters went to bed before all this happened. there wasn't anything sharp my room so my only guess is that i fell down and slashed my arm on the kitchen counter or something. i'd never done more damage while blacked out before but at least this time wasn't in front of anybody.

too bad i can't remember, it must have been wild fun.

I took a few then recommended amount of xanax to go to sleep, i woke up the next morning absolutely wrecked so fuckedddddddddddd up. I remember talking with a friend in my house and she said something like "oh fuck im so angry". I then said something like " fuck me too" then punched the window next to me and broke it. Then squad car came and took me to hospital all downhill

my news years was a very long one for some reason, i live near the rose bowl so me my girfriends and my friend and his girfriend all went to the parade route to sleep out on the grass so we could see the parade in the morning. We had brought beer, hard alc and some herb. We went down many different streets were many parties too place, even thogh these parties were right in the middle of streets, the cops were too busy taking care of the parade route so none of them were around . I got dunk and wanted a pick me up bowl, so i took out my metal peice and it was clogged from before(i guess i forgot to ckean it...) so i tried for about an hour tounclog but it was no use. We all went back to the camp sight after getting drunk andhaving a fun time with a lot of friends. Althoughtwhen we camp back to our spot, their was a giant light shining on the floats near us and we were right under a bright light until 8 in the morning, thats probly why i have a headache still right now
