I'm having trouble with last.fm

When I try scrobbling shit, i nthis case a dude called (etre), I get this

Some tracks you submitted have not been added to your profile for the following reason:
The track you submitted appears to be badly tagged - please check the file's tags.

At first I thought it was because he was too obscure and it was punishment for whoring for attention

Then I realized even more obscure artists were getting by and even frikken Merzbow got rejected

do you have an ID3 tag on each mp3?
it goes by that afaik, and not the actual file name of the mp3

If compared the info with the songs that are accepted and the ones that aren't and I can't discern anything

Maybe I'm just electronically retarded

Oh, and check your tags. If they arent labeled properly then it wont reconize them. Or if it is lossless audio I have found. If it is tagged properly it will work no matter how obscure.

There ID tags are attached to the MP3, you can edit then in winamp if you download that, I don't really know how else. It might just be easier for you do download a better copy of the MP3 that has the right tags.

Tags are info like the artist, song, album, genre, year.

I figured it out

I guess the scrobbler doesn't recgonize alien characters, such as #, (, and )

Which really sucks

Or maybe I do need a better converter or something
