Something like the iPod FM transmitter, but for a non-ipod

Anything like that exist? For an example, here is the iPod model. It's called, lol, the "iTrip"

but I want one for my mp3 player. In fact..I could probably use the iTrip?? I don't actually see why not now that I think about it.

yeah, there are all sorts of fm transmitters - they just plug into the headphone jack.

But I must say, FM transmitters totally suck - the audio is as bad as it gets. you're better off using a tape-adapter if you have a casette deck or [the best] solution is plugging it in directly to the aux jack of your head unit (if you're has one - if not you can usually purchase/install adapters).

I dont know.. Suffer had a nice mp3 player at the gathering, with an FM transmitter.. and it worked just perfectly fine on this old ghetto stereo.

yeah, they work but the audio is inferior to any sort of wired connection. plus they eat up battery. the rule of thumb is, the more direct the connection the better - fm transmitters are last resort, unless you dont care about audio quality or having to recharge more often.
