Breathing in spores

Lets assume a person was working in a grow room all day, or working with spores for prolonged periods. If the spores were inhaled (not directly, but they do become airborne, right?) would they accumulate? Even worse, would they grow in the lung? Lungs full of mycelium, not a nice thought, could it happen? I read somewhere about the dangers of working with oyster mushrooms because of these problems.
Any thoughts on this??

I thought the body would be too hot for spores to germinate. But, id think over exposure to anything would be unhealthy ;/

If fungi spores hatched in human bodies and started growing. Everyone in the world would be dead. Do you know how many mold spores are foating around your house right now. Thank God our immune and resperatory systems can take care of these guys.

oysters growers have actually this problem, due to the extremely hi spores dropping. but is an allergy or individual sensivity. inhaling big quantity of spores is always harmful...

You can become sensitized to the spores. Basically the body starts to recognize the spore as a pathogen and attacks it. Once this happens, you will get a severe alergic reaction anytime you come in contact with the spores and in some cases the fruit or mycelium. This can happen with almost anything that you work with too much. People that work around epoxy resin can become sensitized to the epoxy.

Yes there are many spores in the air, but the question was directly associated with problem that may occur with people who work a lot with spores, or in grow rooms. I'm sure people who cultivate in their homes for spore printing, have many many more times the amount of spores in the air.
Good luck
