I have noiced that some of my friends have been curling up as they grow and they start growing back towards the ground. Does anyone know why they are doing this. I am sure that i must be doing something wrong. Here are a few pics...

 Any info would be appreciated...

I wouldn't see it as a problem...Are you unhappy with your yields? Maybe the tops got too heavy for the stems to hold. This is not uncommon.

is the light coming mainly from one side? they could be growing towards it, and after they get so long, the stems not have the strength to hold them anymore.... just a thought, ive never seen it before

I think that the problem is that the light is coming from the side, now this isn't realy the problem. What the problem is when the light is coming from the side and not from the top is when you pick up the casing tray and look at it and put them back you put the casing the other way around back so that the light is coming now from a other angle and that confuses the shrooms and grows again to the light .
Make sure that you put the casing tray back at the same position as when you put it there when you started fruiting.

I think that's more a genetical problem than anything else, i also got this "confused" shroom without any reason, all the other shroom grew straight up with no prob. Here's a pic,

Yep, I've had batches that were 70% twisty-ass curly-q's. And the next flush, monsters (4) that had huge stems and small caps that didn't seem to want to open. Flush before, massive beautiful shroomage, in numerous clusters.
