Are Land Rovers expensive to repair?
    #6377271 -

I'm looking into getting a new vehicle. Preferrably an SUV (a smaller one). I was looking at Land Rover Discoverys, and there seem to be some pretty nice ones, around '00, for around $8000, which is about the top end of my price range.

My question is, are Land Rovers mad expensive to repair, sort of like a Benz?
Also, anybody got suggestions as to a nice, not too big SUV that I could pick up for around 8 G's?

Thanks yall.

the reason Disco's have shitty ass resale is because there such shitty cars,hah...

i was going to get one long ago...but drove my neighbor's and about 5 others and was consistently let down.

there huge...there slow as dirt...they break down quite a bit...the build quality is nothing like the name deserves, and yea the parts are pretty pricey...

i still like them.....but I'd never buy one....

Thanks for the heads up bro.
I figured it was too good to be true, really.
How are Isuzu Troopers? they look pretty nice.

thats how i was back then as well....the prices just seemed way too good,...and they were, hah.

I'm not sure, about the troopers,I'm really not into SUV s in general. I have a friend that has had a 2000ish blazer for years and beat the living shit out of it everyday and had many DUI type situations in it, and it still gets him where he needs to go.

isuzu isnt the most reliable of the japanese market, dont bas your purchase on looks, avoid an SUV if you can, they're dangerous on the roads

Explorers are horrible pieces of shit. They just fall apart.

I wasn't basing my purchase on looks, I said it looked like a nice car. SUVs are dangerous on the roads if you drive like a fucktard, which I do not. Thanks.

I've narrowed it down to Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Isuzu Trooper, or Toyota 4runner. Thoughts?

go with the 4runner, it's the best buy for the money, and all it takes is one
panic situation to have it on it's roof, I've passed dozens of accidents in which
a little oversteer caused one to flip, try dodging that dog or the retard in the
minivan and you'll learn what I mean, they have far too much body roll to be safe

4Runner.. or an older Range Rover defender 90 or 110.

the new Toyota FJ40s look pretty cool, too.. but, i know nothing about the new ones.. the old ones were tanks, though.

avoid the Mitsubishi at all costs. the build quality is shit and it has the worst roll over rating of any suv.
cant go wrong with a toyota

i'd go with the toyota...
we use one at my job as a delivery vehicle. over 300k miles on it and still runs good, air conditioning and everything.
