1 qt (pan cyan) colonized > 5 lbs hpoo?
    #6368090 -

I currrently have 1 qt jar of pan cyan fully colonized, I also have 5lbs of pre-pasturized hpoo. I want to spawn it to the container in the pictures below. But want exact ratios for casing. This is my only jar so im trying to do everything correct and have a decent yield.

You want a 20-25% ratio. You probably want 2 qt. to 5 lbs. If you growing cyans make a shallow substrate. I think the container you want to spawn to might be too deep. Try something that is like 2.5 in or so deep.

Couldn't I just make it shallow and use the same container.

Yes you definitely could however the extra height of the container will promote stagnant co2 and pans require more fae than cubes. Im just giving you a small tip from my experience, Im not saying that its not going to work.

Thanks, i'll probably just cut the container to the recommended height. Also once I break up the mycelium. just mix it in the the poo, then layer it out through the container?

You want to mix your quart of spawn into two to three quarts of horse manure. Spread it no more than 1 1/2" deep. Pans don't like to fruit from deep substrates. When fully colonized, case with 1/4" of peat/verm casing mix, buffered to Ph8 to start.

The other difference with copes over cubes is they like to fruit a bit warmer, so keep your FC at around 80F for best results.

Yes, by no means do you need to cut the container. Ive just foud that when using a greenhouse setup I had healther fruits when my tub was even with the casing layer. If you fan manually or have a fan like in the link hotnutz posted it shouldnt be much of a factor.
