chameleons are notoriously difficult to keep alive. most inexperienced keepers have trouble maintaining their husbandry needs and they end up dying withing 12-18 months. Not saying that it was all your fault i was just making a statement..

its really not that bad the pigs are only about 30 bucks a piece and every three weeks or so that isnt bad.. the goats are a little more expensive. but that is the reality of owning a large snake

Yeah I did my research before getting him,I got him branches and a plant  (ficus plant) and a few more other stuff.I wished i knew he has the metabolic disease earlier to treat him :frown:

I know there are beautiful snakes that can be a challenge to keep.. I want to set up a nice vivarium and keep a pair. but I dont think i am ready to tackle GTP's of any kind.. Chondros or Biaks..

Unfortunately my landlord doesn't allow pets, but eventually when I buy a house, I want to get a python.

I would reccomend a smaller python species.. if you want a snake that still has a big snake feel but is still manageable for one person to handle.. I would recomend a blood python. they stay relatively small but get thick bodied.. The following pictures are great examples of size and the beautiful colors they come in.. neither are owned by me but i do have a smaller one i am raising

I think panther chameleons are the friggin coolest reptiles to look at :smile:

I have just heard that they are just touchy with the amount of humidity and temps.. they supposedly stress easy.. and once they stress they develop regurgitation syndrome which is hard to cure. I have heard that they are more of a display animal and dont like being handled which kinda makes me think that they are more than willing to bite if given the chance. I still have alot more research do on them before i even attempt to keep them

ive heard that they are very docile actually and arent that nippy, well chondros anyways..ive heard baiks can be a bit nippy..

if you get a chondro from a breeder that is already feeding they are supposed to be really easy to care for...but they are for display only really...they dont like to be messed with

I have a jungle carpet python.. they can get quite large 7-8 feet long although quite slim.. that blood python the girl is holding is just a hair under 7 feet long. Carpet pythons are also extremely strong for being as slender as they are.. I would recommend a ball python as a first snake.. they are great.. I have 2 and i am buying 2 more in january. 99% of them have puppy dog personalities and rarely exceed 5 feet.

Yeah i am definately not that knowledge able about GPT's I have just been going on word of mouth type info.. It would be nice to one day have a pair of GTP's in a live vivarium setup but that is a ways off for me
