that prisson is so damn ugly. i feel bad for the people who actualy LIVE inside the fences. once on acid we where standing on top of ring mountainand on one side we had a steller multi colored display of san fransico. then on our left we had a brown dreery glow of san quentin. it was dpressing thinking abut all the lifes traped within that brown glow :frown:

I'm a bit of a prison buff. Can't get enough of shows like supermax, and whatnot.
Having experienced many minor forms of incarceration as a youth, it has always been of my opinion that rather than say "not me, i will never be in prison",
to accept the possibliity that as a drug user, i may end up in one some day, and would like to not be in the dark as to the realitys, and inner psycological workings of such a place.

I do gaurantee that if they were to try and put me in a place like that, or any other for that matter, for psychedelic drugs...it would be bad.

I know I don't have what it takes to cope. I'd definetely end up killing someone to protect myself with no hesitation or be killed. If I killed someone and was sentenced to a much larger sentence, I wouldn't think twice about offing myself.

I'm not a bad guy and don't hurt people. I shouldn't of been put in that situation in the first place. Going in only having a year, would ultimately lead to my demise, no doubt in my mind.

Take it easy there killer. One thing to understand is that movies, and prison documenteries tend to portray prison as a much more dangerous situation than it actually is.
It really depends on how long you go in for, and what prison you get sent to, as to the level of violence, and danger.
Also, your attitude, and the way you deal with prison politics.

Chances are you won't get raped, or stabbed. A couple of fights should be expected any wher you go, but thats just to test you.

I'm not a killer, don't really appreciate the sarcasm. I'm truthfully just saying, I won't become someons bitch, I'd rather die.

I know quite a bit about it though actually. I have tons of cousins, friends and family that work in the system, in different jails.

It does very much matter the jail.

But you can gaurantee, if you get sent to a provincial or federal prison(in canaday anyhow), on your first week you are gauranteed to get an ultimatum....suck someone's dick or fight some big ass guy. Obviously, I'm taking the fight and get the shit beat out of me most likely.

I'm a small guy and it would be noticeable I was scared shitless. A lot of the correctional officers let rape happen from time to time, here to there.

Gauranteed I'm going to die fighting. that's all i'm saying. Best case scenario? I win the fight almost killing buddy, getting that many more years put on my setence. And in that case, no word of a lie, I'd be taking my life.

you've obviously been told a lot of scary stories about prison life. I'm telling you, even in hardcore federal prisons, its not always necessarily that bad.
A lot of it depends on how you carry yourself.
If you don't go in acting like a hard ass, or bitching out of a physical confrontation, than you might only half to get into a couple of fights.
The best protection is to make lots of friends. Power in numbers. you don't halve to be gang affiliated to have friends to watch your back.

you basically concurred with me. Except, even if I don't bitch out of a fight, it's gonna be obvious i'm a little bitch.

I wouldn't be able to make that many friends.

I'm just saying, there ARE some horrible aspects of jail life that people just turn a blind eye to, and i know I couldn't handle it.

If I did manage to stick up for myself by seriously beating someone down, i'd get more time, which would lead to my suicide.

that's all I'm saying. I coudn't handle it any way shape or form.

You can never say what you can handle until you are put into that situation. You'd be surprised what you can do. Prison's not shit. It's really boring and you are living with the dregs of society. All there is to do is work out, play chess, read books, watch tv, and talk shit. What surprised me the most is the number of people that turn homo while locked up. It's sick. Then, they hit the streets and go back to being straight.:crazy: You really see how sick and twisted peoples' minds really are.
The only time that I was ever worried about my safety was when a race riot was about to pop off. That's a really bad feeling! You just hope that you know enough people and they know you're cool and not going to take sides against them.
