glove box or flow hood??

I'm preparing to start my first casing. I was wondering if it was possible to inoculate grain substrates without a glove box or flow hood.

You need at least a glovebox to avoid a very high failure rate. You can make a great glovebox for $15 or less, so don't cut corners there.

u can usually inoculate jars open air and just be careful, flame syringe after every jar, alcohol wipes etc.

You could build a glove hood, a mix of flow hood and a glove box.

Make a glove box. Get a cardboard box, line the inside with duct tape, cut two holes for your hands and one for a window, cover the window with plastic.

Stick your hands in the holes, rub everything down with alcohol, inoculate. Simple, cheap, and 100% success rate for me so far.
