Freeware Word Processor?

Does anyone know where I can download a really good word processor similar to MS Word? Or maybe even a whole office suite comparable to MS Office? I am too poor to afford MS Office and I don't want to unknowingly download a program with a bunch of spyware. Thanks.

Open Office does the trick, but I think MS Office is still better.

I use both on a regularly and MS Office just has the slickness/responsiveness and polish that Open Office seems to lack.

But, for free - it's pretty good, does the trick and can open most MS office documents I throw at it.

All in all, I <3 My Linux though :smile:
