Waking Life

Has anybody seen the movie Waking Life? It was out in small theaters last fall and I think its out on video now.

I just saw it last night and it was one of the most impactful movies I've ever seen. Granted I was slightly high when I saw it, but I've never been that affected by a movie before. Some of the stuff they talked about really hit home with me and gave me a lot to think about.

It aims to penetrate deeply philosophical issues but does it from many different stances. The basic question is what is the nature of life? How do we go about our lives and are we really awake at all?

My favorite part was the guy driving around the city with the loudspeaker on top of his car. Priceless.

I'd highly recommend it to anybody who thinks.

Great movie. it made me rethink a lot of philosophical concepts.

favorite line: "when you realize you are a character in another's dreams - that is self-awareness". . . or something like that..

That's a coming-of-age ritual in my town...
