BRF/VERM Jar question.

I have a PC that I can only do 3 jars at a time. I have went through one bag of BRF and i have made about 9 jars from a new bag. The new bag is a different brand. It seems that the BRF is cooking to much when it is in the PC. My method is 2/3cup verm mixed with 1/4 water. Then i add 1/4 BRF. I then cover with tinfoil and place in PC. It worked great on my other jars. The BRF seems to melt or something in the jars. It doesnt happen to all the jars though. Yesterday i did three jars and i just went to innoculate and i found a jar that i could see through. All the verm layer was stuck to the top and the brf/verm had seemed to melt to the bottom. When i PC i turn it on high until it ratles and then i put it on medium for 1 hour. Does anything seem wrong with this? I think i am going to go buy some more of the BRF that i used before. I dont think i had this happen with that stuff.

I think your melting as you call it refers to too much moisture. This makes the bottom of the jars look like they are completely covered in BRF. I would watch your foil on the jars and maybe even experiment with less water in the misture of your substrate. I find that even going from 45 to 50 ml of H2O creates a paste of brf on the bottom of my jars. The perfect jars appear consistent texture all the way through, top or bottom. Good luck.
