:yawn: I can DOWLOAD games, for free!, and I dont have to fight nerds for a place in line.  And no 90 games for me thanks. :smile:

Computer games are often far better, and in general top of the line computer games always kicks the asses of systems.

You know, it crossed my mind to pre-order a bunch just to try and re-sell on ebay, same happened with xbox360, and xbox, and ps2 --- and each time I regret not following up on that idea.

If I had lots of cash I would buy 30, or as many as I could, shit man, its a great idea, I would do it if I could. But I'm to broke right now. 
Just watch out for those nerds people, it would take less then 2 minutes for a group of them to plan an attack, and a sharing schedule, for the systems they want rip from your hands.

We're just gonna get trashed in the parking lot and make fun of all the little uber-geeks who wanna get one to play in the morning lol (Though I must admit, if they let me get 2, I will be very tempted to keep one of them)

PS3's supposed to have so much power but the games won't even utilize it all until PS4 is almost out, just like PS2 did with PSX. There's stories all over the news now saying it's having backwards compatibility problems as well. I'll wait until the price drops, or until FF7 remake comes out...whichever happens first. Come to think of it I'll probably get a nice discount for working at Best Buy...that'll come in handy.

The backwards compatability issues are being WAY overstated. It's like 200 titles out of several thousand

That price looks really fake and sketchy. I don't think anyone actually paid $9100.00 for that preorder, I really don't.

Well, considering that the XBOX and PS2 have been out for how long now - and it hasnt really been untill the last year or two that games have really pushed the limits of the hardware.

Just look at games like God of War, Shadow of the Colossus and Okami compared to games that were released in the first year of consoles - they are so much better, and I'd say that SoC looks almost as good as some of the 1st round of games comming out for 360.

Even the same can be said for computer video games and video cards - when new vid cards are released, it usually takes games some time to play catch-up to push them to their full limits.

Considering how good some of the 1st round of games for the next gen cons look, it'll be sick at how good they will look a few years from now.

Either way, saying 'the games now arnt making full use of the hardware' is a pretty captian-obvious statement IMO.
