Am I reading this incorrectly?
"shops have been told by Sony that there will be no PS3 pre-owned sections in their stores"
"These rumours are unfounded"
Regardless, Blu-Ray DVD's will make the purchase worthwhile IMO. I'll be on the waiting list (depending on the price of stand-alond Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players).

1. Your link is dead 2. You can go to Games Radar and find an article which says this rumor is not true

Yeah, I have a second generation PS2 which I use as my DVD player and it works great, so I'm excited about the Blu-Ray thingie... And the Hi-Def in general.
I might get a Wii as well, though. As it will be cheap...

How does a rumor like that even start?

I heard you won't be able to let your friends use controllers they don't own because they will have fingerprint recognition software installed on them.

I heard the PS4 is gonna have stimsim trodes like in Neuromancer, and that you'll die from cardiac arrest if you loose...

They both (will) have hi-def. output for games. Right now though, x-box 360 doesn't have the capability for hi-def. movies. Supposedly, that ability will be available through a hardware add-on.
Also consider that the blu-ray discs for PS3 will be able to hold more data. I seem to remember my friends playing some playstaion games with multiple discs.

Awesomeness. Think about how fun having sex with the hookers in GTA 47 will be then...

You actually have sex with the controller, it has a penis hole that you fuck and you can get all kinds of sweet bonuses.

im get all 3 new system just like I did befor, and I found this on that site
Further to our article yesterday that high street games shops have been told by Sony that there will be no PS3 pre-owned sections in their stores, a Sony Europe representative has responded with a further - albeit brief - comment.
Their statement reads in full: "These rumours are unfounded and, to my knowledge, SCEE has no plans to change our business model to adopt such a system."
We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear any more on this intriguing story - whether from retail or Sony itself.
