different mycelium nutrients

my friend and i were discussing different ways to give the mycelium nutrients. instead of dunking the cakes in water or milk, why stop there? why cant u put it in..say carrot juice, lots of nutrients in carrot juice!
what does the mycelium eat? it can't be just grains because it eats honey too...and honey is mainly suger...well thoughts please

It's not needed. These grains we grow on have all the nutrients needed for healthy, potent fruits. Someone on a balanced diet will not grow stronger if he takes extra vitamins. See?

Sounds like you are asking for contamination. You want to add moisture to the cakes, not nutrients.

okay, that makes sence, "a person with a balanced diet wont need extra vitamens" or whatever, but when a human gets over fed it gets fatter...
and why is it that milk dunking is suppose to make more pins....it may make sence to me, but then again i've only been doing this for a few months..
just my thoughts
i dont think dunking in carrot juice will cause contams because you can then dunk the cake in clean water to wash off excess juice into the water, and give the cake a drink of that
