Attack of the Somni.
    #6210501 -

To make a long boring story of a long boring day made fun, I'll make the long story short.
I called in sick to work one day to catch up on cleaning house and mycology work. Realizing I needed a fruit smoothie, some various substrate materials and a coffee grinder, I headed out to the local market.
While browsing the bulk food aisles, I noticed a brilliantly purple jar of poppies... Hmmm... I thought... Poppy seed tea will be nice to sip on while I have this whole day to myself...
So, 1 pound I purchased...
Went home and got things started while the poppy seeds were soaking in water. I strained off the good juice, had a glass, caught a buzz and decided to get rid of the evidence...
Now, I have tried, numerous times in the past, to get poppies to sprout with no luck at all. So, my initial thought was to feed these seeds to my veggie garden bed so that at least they would most likely rot and turn into a small percentage of the compost that gets added occasionally.
Well, I was very wrong in my attempt..

All that is green is sprouts.

Several hundred actually sprouted. You could imagine my excitement. Now I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should do next to ensure I have some wonderful somni plants for my flower arrangement making

where do u live? the seasons over where i live, and they would surely die.

i should try soaking them in water for a while before planting next time, it might be why they all sprouted so well.

as long as your not looking at frost in the next few months you should be fine. otherwise they are as good as toast.

they dont need much cult advice to grow, though they arent going to get that big due to being crammed in such a small area.

Frost? One or two in January maybe...
I was hoping natural selection would take care of the over crowding...
