hello all here, ive been reading these forums and doing some research for a while and ive been entertaining the idea of growing some poppies for the opium content.
ive been ringing around various nurserys and all i can come across in terms of poppy seeds are 'yates' and 'california poppys' i found that the california poppies were not what i was looking for, however i know nothing about these 'yates' i highly doubt that they are what im looking for however. if anyone could point me in the right direction for where to get p.somni seeds it would be much appreciated as i would love to cultivate and grow a batch.
i dont know if this sort of thing is against the rules, i looked around and i couldnt find anything stating that this wasnt allowed. but if it is, sorry for this post.

try one of the many online ethnobotanical nurseries that are in australia, a quick search should give you plenty of options
-------------------- If you drink much from a bottle marked 'poison' it is almost certain to disagree with you sooner or later

Try growing some poppy seeds meant for baking, should contain good amounts of goodies.

Pretty mcuh, unless you want to grow poppy seeds intended for cooking from. Type in papaver somniferum seeds into google. You will get all the help you need.

That's the way, those $2.00 packs of poppy seeds they sell at all supermarkets are from Papaver Somniferum, AKA the opium poppy. The seeds are treated, but plant a hundred and watch two-thirds grow.Plant the lot and you'll be in competition with Afghanistan.Hope this helps. For an excellent method for turning the sap into proper opium, and then to morphine/thebaine/heroin, suss out the 'Rhodium Drug Chemistry', or 'Rhodium pharmacology' website. The sections under opiates contain everything you could possibly want to know, there's even a post on obtaining Thebaine from the [supermarket bought]poppy seeds themselves. Good Luck and be very careful, unlike the entheogens, Opiates are very addictive, lend themselves to abuse and can be lethal!!!!Stick to the Psychedelics
