"True" friends is total bullshit. Anyone on earth, no matter how much they love you, will fuck you over if the conditions are right. You're just setting yourself up for betrayal. You have to know your friends, and know what would make them fuck you over. You can only trust someone to be themselves.

nonsense. Truthfully, maybe it's time to recognize that you don't have any friends, if they can't be honest with you, and don't desire to better yourself and theirselves. Same goes for anybody who doesn't expect truth and help from their "friends."

There's a certain point in my past that I wish I'd had the balls to admit that I don't have any friends, because the "friends" that I did have were also self absorbed and bs-ers.

I disagree. When someone is my friend, I will go to great lengths to be honest and upfront with them, and not ever do anything to hurt them. Most of my friends that I have now, I've known since elementary school. There's a reason for that. I consider all of my friends "true" friends, because I'm true to them, they are true to me, and I love them for that. I refuse to surround myself with people who are fake and less than honest.
