I wasn't saying that the mold was actually aflatoxin i was saying that the mold contained aflatoxin, which the mold is asperiligus which i already researched and knew about. this is coming from my first post in this thread that i typed "Aflatoxin is in mold that grows on the penuts which causes cancer"

They also use a wax sometimes in addition.  It really helps in keeping it fresh during shipment and refrigeration though.  My produce manager lectured me on it the other day.  I always peel my apples anyway.  That feeling of chewing apple skin geeks me out like scratching a chalkboard or the pages of a phone book
