Are there any LUCID DREAMERS who have smoked DMT-experience here?


I read alot about DMT's effects. I have been so unfortunate to not be able to obtain it anywhere. (about DMTextracting: I find the Idea of homemade extractions, involving chemicals we really DONT want to remain in our DMT-smoke, potentially dangerious for the Health+It's quite a lot of nauticlous work and I am not exactly a professional BioChemist)

Now from what I've read about it, it is naturally Produced in the Pineal Gland in the human Brain. Schizophrenia, UFO-abductions, Bright white lights in Near-Death Experiences and Dreaming at night... for all these experiences DMT is held accountable allthough no there is no solid Scientific knowledge to prove it completely: it has always often been speculated by Scientists.

Now what I was wondering: Are there any Lucid Dreamers on these Forums that ALSO have experience with smoked DMT or DMT in Ayahuasca? Lucid Dreamers that have successfully Entered a Dream fully consciously, from wide awake, while Remaining conscious all along? ( This is AKA the WILD-technique; Wake Induction of Lucid Dreams ) And if there are Lucid Dreamers here who is/has been able to WILD succesfully I have a Question for you People:

Does the DMT experience Resemble the Pre-DreamState experience and the Dreamstate itself?

I tried to do the WILD-technique one night and I managed to stay conscious MUCH longer than I had ever before , before falling asleep UNCONSCIOUSLY afterall (bummer) But what I experienced in those minutes RIGHT before passing out and falling asleep unconscious was Bizare. Tell me, Anyone, if you Recognise this written below, either from Dreaming or a DMT experience let me know

The WIERD physical sensations and Immersive Visual and Auditory hallucinations I experience when I succeed to stay conscious RIGHT before you fall asleep and enter the DreamState were kind of like this:

I was lying there for quite some time trying to enter sleep and a Dream. Suddenly my Hypnagogic Imagery went wild and I had vivid realistic Hallucinations. I've had these on more occasions, but in this Specific experience I suddenly noticed I was very deep inside myself, like "I" was only in my Head. Then I noticed a very very Bright white light light at the center of my closed eye-vision comming closer and closer to me. I read about ''this light'' and I tried to ''enter it'' by imagining doing so. When I did I felt an EXTREME falling sensation, really speedy/rushy as if I was falling down at 80 kilometers an hour. I'm talking a serious physical, rollercoaster sensation. It was quite overwhelming. I moved back out of the light cuz it just made me nausious. I tried again 5 times each time moving out because the sensation was a bit too intense (yet). After that I passed out afterall and the Sleep and the Distractive Mind won from my Conscious Mind.


If it indeed turns out to be the case that these "DreamState experiences" are strikingly Similair to Smoked DMT or Ayahuasca Experiences then that Just may back up the Speculations that DMT play a crucial roll in the Dreaming phenomenon.DMT; Could it "Literally" be the Stuff Dreams are made of?

Tell me your thoughts&Experiences about this Subject: The role of DMT in the Phenomenon Dreaming.

My own experience with DMT-dreaming

I'm no expert on DMT - I'm planning to extract some mimosa soon, but have never tried.  Nonetheless, I feel confident that I have experienced the presence of DMT in deep-dream states.

Lucid dreaming is being able to control one's mind, body, and dream state.

N,N,DMT is going to strange places, meeting even stranger entities of which one has no control over - with a very familar dream-like feel to it.

It's easy to find similarities in just about anything, but on the whole I think they are very, very different experiences.

OK - name one reputable source that claims that they have any evidence what-so-ever that the pineal gland produces DMT or has DMT concentrations any higher to other areas of the rest of teh body. There isnt, and David Strausman even admitted that this theory of his has no factual evidence.
That is because there isnt any, and the pineal gland produces melatonin...
So please dont confuse theory with fact...
And whats more dreaming and tryptamines arent even remotely alike...

And which 'scientists' have theorised that DMT has any role in UFO, near-death or schizophrenia? Oh, sorry do you mean one psychologist who wrote a book on it?

I lucid dream. I used to more than I do now, mostly due to lack of interest lately. But I have had some experiences that would lead me to agree with a DMT link, to some degree. When I have woken up at night and then immediately attempt to fall back to sleep I often remain conscious, and then I feel my body paralyze (which is normal), but then weird things begin to happen. Although I can still feel my bed, or even see it if my eyes are partially open, I begin to feel a euphoric buzzing in my body and then I start sliding off the bed. I can feel the sensation of moving against the sheets. Then I fall off my bed and hit the floor, and get dragged across the carpet, often knocking things over. If I let this continue and try to stand up, I find myself in my room, in a lucid dream. But if I get too shocked, I snap back to my bed. But when I open my eyes during these events, I often see crazy hallucinations, realistic ones. Spiders all over the place, or a person in front of me that isn't really there, etc. And this is superimposed on my bedroom.

Now I have not used DMT, but this sounds similar to me. I don't know why else I would hallucinate like that.

The falling sensation you describe is exactly like I used to play in my bed when I tripped on shrooms once or thrice.

how many professional biochemists out there you think are extracting dmt on their spare time and selling them? homebrew is the only way we have- since it's *knock knock* illegal. If you want something you gotta get it yourself. that's why I've started growing shrooms and if this goes well, my next thing will be making dmts.

*cough* you most certainly mean you friend correct? No one on this forum does illegal activities like you mentioned, and I am sure you would not.  :wink:

BTW, tell your friend DMT extraction is easy, but the trip isnt. Be prepared, it will take you further than you can ever imagine.

No... not really. Both of the sources you listed stated it as recently discovered fact, but didn't provide any references as to where the data came from (studies, etc). The second article is quite interesting though.

The only real studies I've seen recently have shown that the concentrations of DMT in various parts of the human body are ridiculously low. But the highest concentrations suggest that the chemicals might be the result of the digestive system. The highest concentration was .15ug per kg of feces. Not much at all.

that sounds more like and ot of body experience than a lucid dream.


Ive read a lot of reports where people say they had a dream where they smoked some dmt and later on had dmt (in waking life) for the first time and said they were the same.


Afoaf has lucid dreams about once a week and attempts to smoke dmt in them but every single time he trys something distracts him into forgetting hes in a dream. For example he was about to smoke some in my dream last night. He was in a cabin in the forest when he was about to light up when his mom walks in the front door and he scrambles to hide the pipe. This scared him so much he forgot he was in the dream. Things like that happen all the time. He has dmt and has yet to try it in an attempt to see if this is true.

I have smoked DMT three times. To be honest, it has taken me to a place beyond my wildest dreams. My dreams seem to be restricted to earth bound experiences. However, I am not an accomplished lucid dreamer. I am good friends with an experienced lucid dreamer who has told me a little bit of this and a little bit of that. What I make of what he has told me is that lucid dreams are not bound to earth bound experiences. He can travel to places and do certain things that he normally wouldn't be able to do in everyday life. Lucid dreaming does sound a bit like a DMT trip, but there still is a big difference between the two. When you are in a DMT trip, you feel as if you are guided by an extraterrestrial like force. You do not choose where you go or what you do, rather the force does this for you. I think that when one is lucid dreaming they have a certain level of control concerning where they go and what they do.
