dumb easy to answer casing ?

I put my jars of colonized rye in pan then layered cowdung/peat moss/ lime on top. Should I have mixed them together?

I have the pans mentioned above in a aquarium I am waiting for the dung to colonize before casing with coir. Is this right or should I case now?

I know these answers are probably in here somewhere but I have finals this week and dont have a spare second to search. Please help me out with a quick answer. Thanks

Well, you could have just mixed the peat/manure with the grain. Let colonize, then add coir mixed with a little lime for the casing.

Ok, I'll try mixing next time. Bluhoney gave me the recipy for the dung mix and she always seems to kick ass with her projects so I did what she recomended. Thanks
