Casing Mix: Will it work?

#615197 - 04/22/02 01:20 AM (24 years, 5 months ago)

I bought some Succulent Potting Mix today to use because it had a few ingredients I had seen posted on here as a good casing mix. Will this be good to use in a casing tek as my top layer mix?

38% Reed-Sedge Peat & Sphagnum Peat moss
Perlight
Washed Sand

Will this work good? I think its for growing cactus.. LoL
I was shroom'n when I got it... hehe

I think it will work. Be sure to sterilise it though. Peat can be on the acidic side. You may want to see if it lists the pH range on the bag. If you're concerned, try adding crushed oyster shell or lime to the mix.
