How do you add a program to startup with your computer?

I have a program that I use all of the time. So instead of me starting it everyday. How can I make the program automatically run upon startup?

if on windows,

just add the .exe into the 'startup' folder

C:\Documents and Settings\%user_name%\Start Menu\Programs

right click on your start button and click explore. that will take you right to it.

or just add a shortcut to it, alot of programs would need that .exe in its root folder. but yeah in the startup folder

And you can run msconfig (Start->Run->msconfig->startup tab) to see what programs are executed on startup.
