potency when making syringes

When making syringes, would the spores from the first flush be more potent than a later one or does it matter?

Always using spores from the first flush could result in a fast fruiting strain.

not always true, I've had spores from a first flush that never fruited and others than never germinated

Selecting the first caps for only one time may not be enough. After one generation they are not pure breeding for fast fruiting traits. As far as I understand it all lifeforms, except bacteria that multiply by cell division, produce variation in their offspring. This way they can adapt to different environmental conditions. Genetic variation is necessary for adaption and evolution. If one always select the first caps for spore production (creating an environment where fast fruiting substrains have the best chance to survive), this should result in a fast fruiting strain. Or, at least, makes sure that the strain will fruit easy for ever. The reasons for fast fruiting may not always be genetic ones. But in the long run genes for fast fruiting should get dominant.
