Does Kroger drug test?

My friend is applying at Kroger for some menial position and is pretty stressed over whether he'll be drug tested or not. Does anyone know if they test and if so what type of test?

It's krogers, who cares if he fails or not, if hes in that end of the job market he'l have no trouble finding another job

I've never heard of them drug testing.

It varies from store to store, just like any other retailer. They usually have a policy of a "drug free workplace" (yeah, right), but it's up to the GM or HR manager whether or not they test incoming employees.

I worked there a while ago and they did for incoming employees. Never got one on the job after that. they only do that if they suspect your on something or you're in an accident.

When I worked there they did the mouth swab tests. I smoked some blueberry the day before and passed by just barely rubbing the swab on my cheek and then clamping it between my teeth and pretending to continue swabbing. Also, drinking some water right before you go in to the interview is supposed to slough off most of the epithelial cells they use to test for drugs.

Yeah they do mouth swab wich I belive just tests for alcohol, I smoked the night before and passed, don't sweat it just brush your teeth

It matters with him because he's on many medications including anti-psychotic drugs. He is really stressing over this and I don't want him to flip out. I would like him to know one way or another ASAP because he has been puking today from stomach upset brought on by worrying.

I applied for the one in my area a few years ago. They gave me a mouth swab and I failed it. I didn't get the job.

use antiseptic mouth wash pretty much right before you go in. I've known numerous people who passed Kroger's swab test that way...some of em were even high whilst taking it.

Just have your friend goto a headshop for some drug testing cleaner product.

Works overnight, quit stressing.
