right now if you want drop 20 bucks on a t12 ballast and two fluro bulbs. Get one warm bulb and one cool bulb to balance the spectrum. This setup is perfectly fine for vegging plants, wont run the electricity bill up, and they run a fuck ton cooler then any HID light out there. By the time they've finished vegging you should have saved up enough cash to buy at least a 250 watt HPS (id go for at least a 400, if not 600 though) to flower your plants with.

In my veg closet i run two t-12 ballasts, im able to fit 10 6-8 inch pots under them and enough room for a small tub that's holding 7 clones.

However the best advice i can give you is to plan your flowering cabinet or room out NOW and get to testing it. This is why it's best to have all the equipment you need before you start your grow so you can avoid any problems. Im only on my second grow, but already things are moving along at a much nicer pace and generally looking a lot better because i learned a lot from every mistake ive made. At about 18 days into flowering my new plants are already smelling and looking 10x better then my last grow. The biggest thing you have to worry about is heat, space, and air circulation for an indoor grow. limited space means smaller plants so if you have to go that route look into scrog or sog to produce optimal results.

Ill second the genetics, if your seeds are crap no matter how hard you try you wont get the results you're probably looking for. Looking back on my first grow im realizing now that i most likely got ripped the fuck off and was sold some seeds from a hermie or just some bagseed. Lastly, buy a good timer!! I can't stress that enough, if anything this is the ONLY piece of equipment you shouldn't skimp on. I would definitely reccomend getting a digital timer, after my last grow was destroyed due to a faulty timer ill never use an analog model again.

Sorry for asking about how I can get seeds in the US. I didn't realize it was against the rules to do that. My apologies.

Well where this stands right now is I'm planning to work overtime this week and work every day next week to make this all happen. To buy a 1,000 watt HPS grow light and a six hose hookah :smile: 

The seeds I had, I put in foam cups and put them outside, they're kind of dead to me now but as soon as I buy the grow lamp I'll start trying to work with them again.

I still need to find decent seeds...

Anyway, that's where things stand now.

Hey kids...

Just a update in this ever growing odyessy.

So I've been working overtime on top of five days a week. My first purchase will be the grow light of course.

On top of that I've figured out a way to get seeds. I'm pretty sure I'm going to grow Skunkberry which is a combo of Purple Skunk and Blueberry. I think this will be a excellent strain to start with since it's got a reputation for being easy to grow and also because it produces a high yield and flowers quickly. I'm pretty excitied about that.

Also I've decided to grow hydroponically since I've already got most of the stuff from my mushroom grows and also because it has a reputation for growing better and high yields of weed. My only problem now is that I can't find anywhere on the internet to tell me how to do a hydroponic grow. Every tek I've come across references to overgrow which we all know was shut down. If anyone could direct me to a hydroponic tek, that'd be fantastic.

So that's where I stand now.

Well I bought my growlight today, $318 with shipping. I'm pretty excited. The people at HTGSupply.com are pretty awesome and together. I called and when I was asked for my e-mail address, I apologized for having a "juvenile" e-mail and the operator laughed and said, "You should hear some of the ones I get" which leads me to believe they're friends of the cause if you catch my drift. Anyway, it was a good transaction and from just this encounter with them, I'd recommend them in the future.

On Friday I'm going to Canada to pick up my seeds. So by this time Sunday, I may have started.

I have a bunch of bag seeds that I'm thinking about growing organically and the skunkberry seeds I'm going to grow hydroponically. All and all pretty good stuff. Just updating since things are finally starting to click here. :smile:

My two concerns now are getting the DWC chambers right and controlling the smell. But thankfully all the money concerns have been taken care of. That's where I stand now.
