got some bills wanna get some ink

let's say I've never been inked.
Right over my heart, will be a cross.
Next to develop my chest and shoulders I want a mushroom, sun, and waterfall. Yin yang signed in artistic black and red, orange.
The purpose of this thread, is to ask what a 4" X 2" cross might cost.
This is colored in, let's say one hour of work.

as for pricing your best bet is to call a local shop and ask, prices are different all over. good luck.

Point is I need to know what TO TIP
a girl, for my first ink.

Opiates work wonders.. not that they are always the best alternative. They are my preferred method though.
Only opiates can make a trip to the dentist to get your teeth drilled fun. :hehehe:

tattoos don't hurt anyway, well, at least not much. it all depends on the placement of the tat and your tolerance for pain though. they don't hurt for me.

I can never commit to anything, thats why i dont have a tatto. Everytime I think of an idea I like, I hate it by the time I'm actually thinking of getting it.

Ink is a great freedom of expression. Just choose them wisely and for meaning. Definately spend the money to go to the best in your area. Don't listen to friends who have buddies that will tattoo you for 30 bucks.

Yeah, I can relate to that domite. I don't have any tattoos and don't plan on getting any. :shrug:

No matter how cool I thought it was at the time, I'm sure I'd get tired of it.

Alcohol actually thins out your blood when can lead to severe bleeding during your tattoo. This is dangerous for many reasons. Chances are, you are going to bleed. How much you bleed depends on you. Make sure you eat something that day before your tattoo and do not drink any alcohol.

I'm well tatted... in my opinion anything smaller than a tennis ball isn't worth it due to the attention to detail. when you get that big of a tat expect to spend over 150 for a good artist. also drinking and any type of aspirin or drug that thins the blood is a no no....it will make you bleed more than you would like...or more than the artist would like for that matter.

I just went to the Annual Tattoo and Arts Festival in Calgary. Met Cat von D from Miami Ink....She's Hot!!

If there's one thing I learned there, it's not just to get a good recommendation as to who's good..... but look around at who's NOT GOOD and don't go there!

Check out the tattoo shops in your area and look through their books. You'll get an honest idea of the tattoists ability, and while you're there, you can get a quote.

Do your research. It'll pay off in the end.

I have a relatively small tat on my chest that took an hour and a half. If you want a tat done in an hour, it had better be small and simple.

Indeed. Of course, it varies depending on the person and where you're getting the tat, but it never really bothered me. Everyone told me how much it was going to hurt when I got a tat on my chest, but I never felt anything worse than a slight irritation. Then again, I've always had a fairly high pain tolerance.
