Hail like I've never seen before!

I just took this picture. I got it a bit late, some of the hail melted already. If you look closely, you'll notice that the blue Bug no longer has a back windshield. From Northfield, Minnesota.

Too late; the rain is all gone now. My car got all fucked up too. It's dented everywhere and the front windshield is all cracked up. I bet there's >$1,000,000 in damage at the car dealership...

You just took that pic? I'm fairly close to you and I see nothing like that around here, although it is dark outside. I just looked at the radar and saw the small patch of red that went through Northfield. Hard to believe it produced hail like that. That's unfortunate.

The strom on Tuesday night is what scared me. It woke me up in the middle of the night. I had to run around closing all the windows, but then I watched it for a while, almost went blind from the lightning flashes going off in my face.

hell yeah i remember when we got hail like this it was crazy, i got hit by a piece and it fucking hurt like hell and left a welt

I'm too lazy to go out and take pics of my car now; I'm comfortably on my couch sipping hot chocolate.

Yeah, it was bad, but it was even worse about 50 miles north. There was like 3 inches of rain that fell overnight north of where I'm at. Saint Paul area got like an inch to an inch and a half.
