Spring Water
    #595976 -

I have a source nearby for natural mountain spring water. It is plenty drinkable to humans. Lots of people around here go there for water, actually. If I were to collect it, It would be in empty (clean) milk jugs.
My question is, how would I need to prepare this for combining with VERM/BRF a la PF TEK???? Do I need to boil it before adding it to the mix? (just to make sure it's clean B-4 I pressure cook the jars...... I know PC-ing kills lots of shit, but there's no need in adding extra shits to kill, right??)

Also, If I wanted to render the water for dunking/injecting/misting, what kind of preparation do I need for this???

Thanks in advance!!
Peace,

Esta

I think you will get by without doing anything to the water.
Since you are going to PC your substrate anyway.

I'd go buy a 6 gallon water jug....the blue one.....and use that.

I wish i had some spring water near me......lucky you!
All the minerals in the spring water will be really good for the mushrooms.

I use spring water too. It works great. I do boil it first, I've always boiled all waters first and they all seem to work fine.
Spring water, well water, city water, creek water, rain water....

I would boil it first to sterilize it. You never know what kinda spores, bacteria, etc have fallen in the water out there.

why not just buy some distilled water from a grocery store, it's probable the cleanest stuff you'll find, and it's only like a buck for a couple gallons, considering with brf it's only gonna take about a cup for every three pint jars why the hell not.

Because shrooms grow better on spring or mineral water than they do distilled water.
