you know what my job is?


I drive old people shopping or where every they need to go. From our towns senior center. I make my own hours. I get payed for a set ammount of time (meaning now matter how much early i finish i get payed teh same) no drug tests. On average i get payed for about 5hrs of work for every 3. Hanging out with old ppl is fun. I can be high when ever i want.

i love my job.

ive been at it for 3 years.

im the #1 driver around of old people.

That'd be an awesome job except that I have WAY to many old people in my town.  I should give it a look into though.  Well I am off to my meeting.  :lol:  this should be comical.

Me, if I wanted to retain the job (sounds like you don't), I'd walk in and the first thing out of my lips would be:

"Hi. Before this meeting begins, GIRL has made comments to certain individuals over the last few days expressing a desire to have me fired and even if it violates unlawful termination laws, she doens't care. Again, let me reiterate that she has made these comments to other people and it will be a simple matter to depose them if necessary. I will be filing a harassment complaint with this company with HR (or the appropriate person) following this meeting."

If they have any brains about them whatsoever they will stop in their tracks. It is very, very bad for a person in her position to be saying such things to third parties. You can basically show malintent on that alone. And without saying you'll sue, you made it abundantly clear that you could and already have one foot up their ass.

I'd also hand them a letter with the general information you just conveyed (in italics). For all you know the meeting will end immediately so you go and file your complaint with HR.

I wouldn't even be surprised if GIRL loses her job. At the very least she won't be the person you report to anymore.

Of course, then if that works, there's the problem that he'd likely be stuck continuing to work under the woman who sounds like she's likely to hold a nasty grudge. Hell hath no fury like a woman's wrath, and all.

Of course, then if she tried to make him suffer at work out of vengeance, and he was smart about how he handled it, then he could have a good case in a lawsuit for creating a hostile workplace. Then resign after that point, having potentially made money during the lawsuit that will take good care of the transition period between jobs.

Of course, then there's the thing that if prospective employers ask his (now current) employer for info, there'd likely not be a very pleasant image given.

If your state is considered a right to work state, then someone can
get fired for anything. No, matter how small, or large of mistake.
But as long as you remain cool, and dont do anything destructive,
or risk, someones life, there is unemployment.
I use to work for some women once, I had to leave that crazy place.

That's possible but not likely. If there is any reasonable way within the structure of the business for him to report to someone else, that would probably be done. And if not I can assure you that the woman with the grudge would be put on a short leash because every action will be under a microscope.

Workplace and worker protection is very strong in this country and it's usually self-enforced because one successful lawsuit could decimate the company. When you have a situation where your boss has openly expressed a desire to have you shitcanned no matter what, and there are witnesses (friendly or not), and if they do fire you, you will have a nice lawsuit if you decide to pursue it.
