Free Stuff

I was out, traveling around in the heat, paying bills and everything. The road by the place I got my truck is being reconstructed, and I thought to travel in a different direction from there to avoid some of the construction. This is out on the outskirts of towns, a lot of mobile homes set up and some factory warehouses and shit. I see a sign that says "Free Stuff". Driving by, we see a bunch of boxes all scattered acrossed a parking lot.

So, I say what the fuck, park my truck, and walk up with a can of Dr. Pepper in hand. The boxes are full of computer parts and crazy shit like that! All the boxes had all sorts of shipping labels on them "Country of Origin: United States", stuff like that...

I marked it off as being a strange life experience and turned around and headed back to my truck. I would have grabbed something but I wouldn't know what the fuck to do with it. :lol: Perhaps I should have backed my truck up?

Anyone else ever find something like this? :wtf: Perhaps they hiijacked a truck or something.

I guess I could head back over there and back the truck up, but I'm pretty sure its worthless shit... there were a lot of boxes of those wide, flat cables, looked like they went to a Macintosh or some shit... :shrug:

Something had to be fucked up, for a bunch of computer parts to be handed out for free in the middle of a parking lot on the outskirts of the city... :lol:

True. That's my point, too, a truckload of the shit wouldn't be given away for free unless it was practically worthless.

If I were a true entrepreneur, I certainly would have backed my truck up, and started bartering with people for some money or other goods... The idea of engaging in such intrigues me, but I don't think it is something that I would devote my time to. I'm thinking about sticking with management, eventually having a store to myself, and making $100,000 a year, but continuing to live my $20,000 a year lifestyle. I'd like to have the freedom that comes with that.... own some property in a wooded area of the country, with a custom-built house, the musical equipment that I dream of, the time and resources to simply life my life as I wish...

At the same time, I still wonder if I should follow through with my aspirations to become a professional musician. They are both one and the same path at the moment, because, in management, I am really developing myself and my ability to conduct my life, so I guess time will tell where this life will lead. The end result will be the same as well, lots of resources to live my life as I wish...

I found free stuff once or twice, but I don't think the previous owner had done using it yet

But that type of activity doesn't often lead to where you want to go

I got shit-canned from my job on the fourth, so my dreams got put on hold for a little while.
I hope you get what you want.
...You know, come to think of it, I passed a coffee shop in town that had a box of big bags of beans out front, sign said "Free!"
