Ideas I had for alt places to get supplies on the cheap

Many cities have places called 'scrap exchanges'

The one in my area (NC) has lab equipment and other cool science items at deep discounts. I have heard on the radio that they get donations that have hardly been used and sell to the general public. I plan on checking the one in my area in the next week or so and will report back what that one had during my visit

Also, this is more obvious, but tomorrow i am going to the thrift store to look for jars, spoons, and hey, maybe an aquarium or PC?!

Speaking of aquariums, check the barter, free, and for sale sections of your area's craigslist.org pages. Manure and similar items could be requested (for your compost heap, garden, whatever...) in those forums as well. Most mycology products needed serve a legit purpose so just think through what a legit need would be (when using cl) as I have found some to be nosier than other. only offer that type of info when asked.
