well what im trying to do is use the pf-tek method for puerto rican's, i personally dont think i will get a big yield at all, ill be happy with a few gram's dry, but was just wondering if anyone thinks/knows if i will get a bigger yield if i was to case the cake's, maybe around 4 cakes per casing, will this help for a larger yield? Also, has anyone ever used the pf tek (brf/verm) for puerto ricans? if so, how was the yield? wet&dry? Thanks in advance for any help. -Victor P.S: Also, im using the pf-tek because i cant happen to find a way i can sterilize birdseed(sunflower seeds) with microwave or boiling it, but IF there is indeed a way i can use either of the two (Boiling, or microwaving), then please help me with that also!

Yes, you will get a bigger yeild if you case. However, the PR strain is not a good strain for the first time cultivator as it is quite hard to get them to fruit. You need some very good conditions for them...and its not like you CANT do it, its just harder... If your going to case, it is a good idea, however you risk the fact of contamination of the casing layer itself. Personally, I have not had one contamination problem with coco coir, so Id reccomend that. BTW--Using birdseed is NOT sunflower seeds. You need to buy finch seed, or a bird seed composed of mainly white millet.

You want a millet based birdseed. not sunflower seeds. Read the FAQ.
