which humidifier?? need new one quick!
    #582175 -

hey all. Well i'm on my second attempt to fuit some shrumes. Last time I got the cakes no problem but they didn't fruit becuase it wasn't humid enough, it was only in the high 80s. Inside our terrarium we have a humidifer and we bulit a bublier out of a fish tank air pump and a bucket of water. The humidity still won't go above 87%... What kind of humidifer do you guys use??? I figure my cakes will be ready to go into the terrarium early this week!!!

have you ever considered that it may be the calibration of your humidity guage?
try calibrating it.
someone here posted an excellent link on how to calibrate it using a salt solution. apparently a totally saturated (meaning more salt than can be dissolved in the water) will result in humidity of 75% in the sealed environment.

not so sure on the exact details, and ive since lost hte link

maybe someone seeing this will have it handy

Vicks Kaz V400 iis the best

Cool mist

that covers your air flow so no more fanning, plus covers your humidity.

Yep, the cool mist humidifier works great for me! I hear there not as susceptible to breakage as the ultrasonic. Read up on humidification techniques here: http://www.shroomery.org/findorgrowthem.php?View=docs&doc=102  It goes through the pros and cons of each method.
Here are a couple pics of a cool mist in action.

Another plus to the cool mist is you can run it 24/7 for constant air exchange. Note the PVC tube in the terrarium running to the bottom, it pushes the Co2 off the bottom and out a vent at the top on the other end. This cool mist sits on a heating pad set to low. This increases humidity. Don?t forget to add peroxide to the water when you fill the cool mist.
