maybe I'm a bad pet owner

So today when I was leaving for work I let loki in and then I went to let eddy in, who was sleeping in the shade, I didn't want him to be out in the heat all say while I was at work...so I called him and he didn't come, so I went to go pick him up and carry him in, and I noticed he had a lot of little flys and stuff around him...and thought, uh oh...poor little eddy was dead. :frown:  He was in his normal sleeping position, but his eyes were open a bit and he wasn't breathing.  My dad came home and buried him the forest.

Poor little thing was only about a year old :frown: I'm guessing he just had a heart attack or something, he was perfectly fine this morning when I fed him and then 2 hours later...he died.  I'm taking my other cat to the vet just in case tho.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

Did the other pet die unexpectedly?
what kind of animal was it?
Based on your answers I might suspect some kind of toxin in or near your house that they could have ingested.

the other pet was a fish, and I suspect that was my fault, eddy was a cat, when I looked him over, he wasn't visibly hurt, bleeding, foaming or had reccently vomited, as well someone told me that when an animal knows its going to die it will go off on its own to die, and eddy was on the front lawn, so I think it was abrupt and unexpected.

the thing is eddy was a young little guy, 1 or 2 at the most, he was a stray tho before he came to us, so god only knows.

but it was a fish...fish die so easily and I doubt it could be related to the cat...my sister lost a couple tropical fish when she first set up her aquarium and she was balling "I killed them...I"m horrible" etc but the rest survived and one of the fish started having babies actually not long after

it sucks when u lose a pet...I lost a hermet crab and an iguana when I was younger and it hit me as hard as when my grandpa died(this was also when I was young)
