Scrape It Off?

my friend went out of town and when he returned to check on his babies, they had dropped spores all over his casing layer. should he.....

a) pick them and mist
b) pick them and scrape off as many spores as possible, sprinkle casing soil and mist
c) pick them, get as much casing as possible off and re-case....then mist
d) something else
