I have been noticing a few posts concerning Infected mushroom and psychadelic trance in general.
This past summer I attended an event in Oregon and heard the most incredible psytrance under the stars.
I now must add some to my music collection.
I recently ordered Classic Mushroom-Infected Mushroom, and thinking about picking up some Shpongle, Astral Projection, there are so many... Please post your favorite CD's concerning Psytrance artists!!!! I need your opinion!!!!

Kox Box, Hux Flux, Pleidians, Juno Reactor, Simon Posford(Hallucinogen, Shpongle), California Sunshine, Analog Pussy, Shakta, Doof, and that's all i can think of right now. Just as a side note: i recently was lucky enough to see Infected live at a club in China Town L.A. and i say, they tore that joint up. For sure.

You should check out The Revelation of the 13 Crystal Skulls. That album has a whole lot of goodies on it.

If you're interested in psytrance, you definitely must check out:
www.psynews.org This is far and away the most important forum/gathering place/information source on psy/goa trance music out there. You will find interviews with artists (although in indecipherable English--the site is run by French people) and plenty of reviews of albums from long-time trance listeners. If you see artists/tracks that interest you, you can pretty much find everything for download on
www.audiogalaxy.com Trance music has evolved in a lot of ways over the past seven years or so. In some ways it's gotten better, in some ways worse. It's less melodic and "beautiful" than it used to be, but it has moved into completely new, completely unique sonic universes. Nothing beats it for tripping. Here are some of my all time faves:
X-Dream (absolutely the shit--there's nothing better), Simon Posford (Hallucinogen/Shpongle), Infected Mushroom, KoxBox, Son Kite, Chi A.D., Etnica, Future Prophecy
Some other excellent acts to check out (in no particular order):
C.O.P. and The Delta (X-Dream side acts), Vibrasphere, Process, Double Dragon, Deedrah, Reefer Decree, Logic Bomb, Tristan, Wizzy Noise, Ticon, Toi Doi, Midi Milliz, oh man, the list goes on and on.
Once this music gets its tentacles into you, you will have a hard time listening to anything else. I studied music from all over the world for years before I found psytrance--it STILL ripped my shit. IMHO, the best music being made today.

thanks for your replies...
I recently recieved Classic Mushroom- Infected Mushroom, in the mail..... actually today listening to it... I am enjoying the aggresiveness and melodies of the tracks
I believe I will have to listen to the album a few times over before I really get the feel of it...as with most music
the above cd is my first purchase of a psytrance cd....
I recently ordered two Shpongle releases Tales of the Inexpressable and Are you Shpongled...waiting for those to come in the mail...

has to be hallucinogen, consistently, though there are lots of fun stuff out there. x-dream, infected mushroom, and astral projection were all awesome experiences live. tsunami parties in nyc have been my best times, though it's been a while.
