ah, Pink Floyd...
    #6445789 -

So I'm just lounging around enjoying the day, listening to, what I consider, one of the best rock groups of all time...

So raw and authentic. With Pink Floyd, I can truly appreciate and enjoy each little sound that contributes to the song. Every single small detail is a much bigger stroke for a greater picture.

I never heard anybody play so real like this. How magnificent.

They truly are an amazing band. They pull everything together so well and sound akin to and yet so unlike any other hard/progressive/blues rock band. Hard to describe just what makes them so distinct, yet you can hear it in every album.

The lyrics are more meaningful and deeper than many other artists' too. I can feel a connection to their songs, even Water's little masturbatory project The Wall.

What's your favorite album? I'd have to say mine is Meddle.

I would say for me it's a toss up between Atom Heart Mother and The Division Bell. But Meddle is definitely in my top three favorite albums. It's hard to classify a group like Pink Floyd, I find it nearly impossible to pinpoint what about them I enjoy so much. I just have to say that their music speaks to me in a way that I find very rarely with any other group.

--------------------
The story goes, or the way that I was told
There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low
And so he called all the wise men to the hall
And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls
But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring
It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king
Engraved in black, it had no front or back
But there were words around the band that said
Just know: This Too Shall Pass

Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite band.
I don't understand why poeple never talk about Pink Floyd... the real Pink Floyd with Syd...
Pink Floyd with David is more like a tribute to Syd
I still adore Pink Floyd with David, Meddle, Dark Side Of The Moon, Animal, The Wall...
But I really adore Syd work... this guy was something

Favorite album is Dark Side of the Moon. So chill but exhibits so many advanced musical techniques. I love it. Such a masterpiece. No other album like it.
