So you are breaking a federal law by growing mushrooms (assuming you are in the US) and you are worried about breaking the dorm rules about leaving something plugged in? -grin- What a country! (Remember, its just as easy to start a fire with a battery as it is with a wall plug... well almost...)

You are correct, 65 degrees will take forever to colonize.

I cannot think of any easy way to heat your closest without having something plugged in. If it is only for a week, I wouldn't worry about it, but you are still going to need to figure something out when you get back.

insulating the bags in a styrofoam cooler and blankets or something should help. the mycellium creates heat and the better you can retain it the warmer it will be without providing a heat source.
of course if your insulation is ineficcient it wont make any difference; and 65 is too cold to colonize in a reasonable trime.
