Casing Mixture...is this okay??

I can't seem to find any lime...I was hoping to used sterilized peat moss (50%) with 50% Vermuculite...will this work as a casing??? Is the lime overly important?? Thanks. my 5 Jars are should be ready in 2 weeks..thanks

i personally don't use lime myself and have great results! 50/50 works fine as a casing. lime is added to buffer the ph but is not absolutely necessary.
