So, has anyone here ever tried any type of testosterone booster or growth hormone booster?
how did they work? side effects? anyone know anything about these things? any of your friends tried em? they are legal, and supposedly if you dont abuse them they shouldnt have any adverse side effects. but anything that involves the word testosterone makes me think steroids.... ![]() Im really tempted to try em, i do work out regularly, and when im in the gym i do put in work, im not slackin and tryin to get muscle without doing anything. i just want a little bit of a... boost.

Hey man, would love to toss in a few cents. I'm gonna shower and hit up the gym, was just chatting with some buddies about pro hormones on a forum and shit but their server went down!
What do you have in mind? I think that you could look to things like ZMA because all it is, is zinc magnesium aspartate. I has 30mg of zinc and 450mg of magnesium and some B vitamins. This anabolic cocktail's taken at night and will throw you into the most deepest, recuperative sleep EVER! Sometimes I wake up shaking, gasping and fighting to scream but I'm too terrified lol. I look at my alarm clock and realize that I've only slept for 1.2-2 hours!! What!? It felt like I had a perfect 8 hour sleep. I close my eyes, go back to bed and wake up to the alarm clock PERFECTLY rested. I would recommend this product to anyone. Some people notice things like a little acne or an ingrown hair or two, but that's what happens when you take test boosters. People argue about ZMA being something that tinkers with your test levels, so I personally take a month off every few months. Right now, I'm actually abstaining from all NO boosting products and supplements asides from ZMA at night. I want all the free radicals and shit cleansed out of my body. I'm eating incredibly clean, but I am taking some supplements. I'm taking Purple Wraath, which is an excellent EAA (essential amino acids) that can be used for cutting or bulking because it's amino acids! With this micro nutrient, I feel like I've got something concrete to support my workouts. And for the first time since I quit skating, I'm doing some cardiovascular exercises which feels great and isn't interfering with my muscle development (however little it may be, but nyah). I take Purple Wraath before, and during my workouts for the ergogenic effects and prolonged workouts. It's awesome. I drink it at work, when I run and at the gym. It's kind of expensive, but I LOVE Controlled Labs products. I actually wouldn't mind becoming a rep for them in a few years either. Another Controlled Labs product I'm taking for an extra kick at the gym, whilst adhering to my diet and less supplements deal is Glycergrow. It's glycerol monostearate. It's their first product in their "elements" line. It's a clean, extremely basic, bulk compound that is VERY effective. It has diuretic effects, promotes cell volumization and gives you a burst of "clean" energy as opposed to things like caffeine. This is perfect for my regimen right now. It's a white substance, kind of like soap or wax shavings. What you do with this is drop it on your tongue like you would with goodies, take a swig of water and down it 30 minutes before your work out. You CAN add it to a liquid and sip it throughout your workout, but it will not dissolve. I take some before, during and after my workout. It hypersaturates your muscles with water which is what you want - cell volumization will lead to anabolic triggers in your muscles. Done steroids, maxed out doing fucking 4 or 5 plates on the bench and don't see any more gains. Said he started stretching and now I watch their asses toss another 20lbs on and pump out a few more reps. Fuck. At that level, you don't make gains like you did in the newbie days. A couple pounds a year is all you gain at that level. MAN! They're starting to get new stretch marks from streching their muscles after they work out. Something worth looking into... Haha.Yea, im already on ZMA, I take it at night before goin to bed, but so far it hasnt helped my sleep any (I got a sleeping problem), if anything, I seem to have more troubles falling asleep on ZMA... ![]() Im also on some protein shakes ofcourse, and for creatine at the mo im on the new NO-explode stuff. After workouts I take some glutamine and Muscletech Anator. I also take vitamins, ginko biloba, ginseng, flaxseed oil, and I take turns with Joint Defense from Techline and GNCs Fastflex (takin alot of joint stuff cause of my elbow injury). I swear, Im takin more pills than my grandparents. Put together! ![]() How long are you abstaining from the NO stuff? Are you cycling it or what? The Purple Wrath sounds interesting, its basically just amino acids right? Would these be the amino acids which are in other protein mixes? or would this be something to take seperately? And I think Imma stay away from the Glycergrow. It sounds alot like a regular NO. I cant spend all my money on supplement. i already take multivitamins. and ZMA is just vitamin B, zinc, and magnesium, all in one pill. why buy them seperately?

Good, different tips.
I was actually eating a pretty odd diet consisting of saturated fats and cholestorol. Kind of strange, but if you want to grow and lift like a man, you need to eat like one. I know it's a little bit archaic and almost stupid to say something like that, but it's really true. I'm personally abstaining from NO products for as long as my ass can hold out lol. Gotta get a multivitamin and flax seed oil..... *runs to his bedroom* Ahh, here we go... I almost forgot! Just got back from a long chest workout. As far as the ZMA's concerned, maybe the B vitamins are giving you too much of a perk before bed. How long do you take it before going to bed. What activities do you do before bed? I make a point of deliberately letting my eyes droop, turn off all the lights in the house, mosey around with no glasses/contacts, listen to chill music and then do what I need before I hit the bed. I'm actually stacking melatonin and ZMA together and fuck, what a combo. I have not tripped out harder in my life then when I'm sleeping with the two. The only thing that keeps me up past my bed time is being too stoned, staying out with friends or being with my gf. Unless we're having sex, I basically remind her that I NEED TO SLEEP OR I'LL GET SICK!!! Hopefully your sleeping patterns get a bit better. What brand of ZMA are you taking also? Purple Wraath's not BCAAs (branched chain like in protein), they're EAAs (essential aminos)... the thing I like about this is that there's no filler, no carbs, no glutamine even!! They decided that they wanted a strict EAA that's relatively cheap and can deliver the results needed for people who are seriously bodybuilding or just thrashing their bodies. This is a great product and I would highly recommend it. I sip it throughout my workout, filling my bottle back up after taking a few sips and finish my first 1 or 2 big excersizes. Then I down the entire bottle and continue drinking a few litres of water through the remainder of the session. I actually would highly recommend Glycergrow, man. Some more logic behind their "elements" line as opposed to the "colours" line is that they're just that - elements. They're cheap, effective and relatively safe to consume in any dose and for any purpose. Cell volumizations important, no doubt. And I've got a fucking tub of GG sitting on my dresser right now, and the thing never empties. Granted I've only had it for about 2 weeks, but the same case with my brother. The stuff's awesome. It will easily last 2-3 months, even if you're taking multiple scoops. Glycergrow can be stacked with Green Bulge for an intense strength increase at the gym. I found that taking some Glycergrow before a run and carrying a bottle of Purple Wraath is awesome. My body gets saturated with H2O as opposed to sitting in my gut and giving me god awful cramps in my stomach and legs. I love these two products. The cool thing about MCC is that it's a WAY better deliver system than straight Creapure (creatine monohydrate). If you think of it this way, you have to shovel bucket loads of creatine into your system, or create an insulin spike for the best results. Even when timing creatine, taking it in the morning, pre workout and post workout, you will still end up with the by product creatinine. This is what makes you a little bloated. Magnesium Creatine Chelate is something I haven't seen too many other companies utilize, and Creatine Ethyl Ester is being toted as the new breakthrough in Creatine.... so this is what makes Green Bulge so worth it. Although they're pills, it's not any less potent or worth while than a powder. Tank from Controlled Labs said that they might actually produce bulk GB in a powder form!! People could pick this up and cap it if they felt like it or just use it in powder form. I always took 3 capsules as opposed to the recommended 5, and I'd only take 5 on leg days so the bottle really stretched out. A Controlled Labs rep who's been really kind to me, informed me that he's had a LOT of success taking GB pre workout, and then taking cheap Creapure/CM post workout. Makes sense. I think that I am actually going to do this using my WB/GB stack. Stretching IS good. Not BEFORE working out, but after for sure. And it makes sense. We're trying to force more blood, water and nutrients into our muscles to beat the anabolic drums and send a response to our body. What better way to grow than to life, then pump even more blood to our disheveled muscles after? Man, it makes a lot of sense. I know that hobit always recommended stretching, but I never really got into it too much. Today I just worked out chest and although I hit the wall (my body was tired from still digesting food), I prolonged my workout and then stretched after. I have just as great a pump as if I lifted hard. Good way to sacrifice a relatively slower workout session. I'm going to continue this and see what kind of results I see. I've been doing it for my legs for a while and I noticed that I always squat for more and more reps. Squatting 250lbs a good 5 times, never tried for a one rep max on anything really... but my leg extensions are going for multiple sets with 140lbs, doing up to 10 reps. I think my legs are going to explode soon. They were just over 21" and are now about 23". Pretty good for someone who looked like an absolute GIRL a year ago. ErgoPharm 6-OXO is something I've heard good news about. Follow the diet and tips that me and soulcircus posted in conjuntion with 6-OXO and I'm sure that you'll get a good anabolic surge. I personally want to hold off on this because I have more or less of a teenager's kind of frame. I'm asian, so it takes a while for my body to mature. I don't want to mess up my body and accelerate test production too much at this age, and I want my body to grow to it's full potential before I ever take steroids or something. I know a lot of people who've had so much success, and little to no problems. Methylated AASs can cause liver problems, but with my knowledge I know that I could do a cycle or two in the far future and hold on to some good gains. Only time will tell. I have absolutely no concerns or desire to do anything like that at this time. I'm not too sure if test boosters are really all that great. For the effort that people put into it, they may as well stick a needle into their butts and inject insulin or something. I would personally recommend something like WB/GB because you have increased blood flow which means hardness, fullness, more nutrients, and then strength, a great creatine delivery system being carried by the WB... it's just so synergistic. I've yet to see another supplement company deliver such standarized results. Everyone who takes this stack says the exact same thing, and that's good for creatine non-responders. I have more confidence when I'm assured consistency like this. Who wouldn't. Yeah, I know, I really REALLY go off about bodybuilding. It's been a very exciting year starting to lift weights. Met a lot of great people, learned a lot physically and mentally and it really helped to make me a better person. It also helps because I was a complete closet nerd in high school, already kind of knew a bit about biology (despite taking no sciences but "Infotech") and my mom's a nurse. I just go to PubMed, read her fucking library or books, use the internet and forums to gather whatever reputable information I can find. I just completely go off when I post about this stuff, lol. I haven't had this much passion about something since I was a brain-dead skater 4 lyfe, you know what I mean. I think its my whey protein weight gainer shake, its actually workin.anyhow, I found one of the products which I was talkin about, the one I had seen at the supplement store. And before bed I tend to spend a few hours or so on the pc, surfin around, shroomery, etc. And recently its become habit to do a few puzzles of sudoku... I try to do as little physical activity before bed cause I know it can keep you up, but I noticed that sometimes a walk can help get me to sleep the moment I get back. Its probably all a psychological issue anyway. Ive been told that I think too much at night. But I tend to do my deepest thinking (realatively deep...) late at night. I cant help it. (late at night is when I also do the best on my homework, all of a sudden homework becomes easy and I can type outa few pages in minutes...). And especially in bed I think alot. I mean, what else do you do? Can you even help it? your lieing there, in a dark room, and your mind wanders. You start thinkin about friends, or schol etc or just daydreaming. And you daydream until youre asleep and its just a dream. But for me the daydream just keeps goin.... And my sleeping patterns are generally getting better since I stopped drinking though but still not the best.And its cool to go off, gives us more insight that way ![]() And Soulcircus, I do squats regularly, and recently Ive been doin a 10min cardio run after lifting (I read somewhere that cardio exercises actually help boost testosterone or something like that). And I try to get alot of sleep, but my sleeping patterns are wack... (look at the time this was posted...). But, when you mention testosterone spiking, what do you spike with? Btw, off topic question, do you guys do pushups when your not lifting? Do you feel it in your upper back muscles? Cause last week I couldnt manage a single pullup (sounds pathetic I know, Im still gettin back into shape from my accident). And this week I havent gone to the gym cause I was bogged down with school finals. Only thing I did was a few pushups in my room. And today after finishing my work I went to the gym and pulled off four pullups! (It was a great feeling). Was it the pushups?? yea, so, I guess I leave the testosterone pill stuff alone, seems like a waste of money. But still would be good to get some natural methods of increasing testosterone production somehow. So far its ZMA, a good diet and sleep, work large muscle groups, a bit of cardio at the end. I was wonderin, would somehow controlled anger do anything? could it be dangerous or unhealthy? I tend to hear that anger can cause some physical problems such as worse sleep, irregular eating habits, does something to your stomach, etc etc. But if its more a controlled anger thing... hmm... And what about those things that make you horny? Horny goatweed n shit. Technically, part of the reasons they make you horny is by raising testosterone levels right?? ![]() Maybe theres another way of getting horny and raisin testosterone without those wierd horny pills? (Not that I wanna be workin out in the gym with a hard-on...). Yea I think Ill stop now, Im starting to sound desperate and wierd... And long. But, you know how it is, you work harder and harder, and every time youre tryin to lift more, gain more, etc. You start to focus on your diet, sleeping patterns, etc, all to lift more and do more. Fats are what you need for that purpose. Eggs, meats, nuts (like natural peanut butter) etc etc.

Yup, don't even fear bacon if your goal is to boost test. But I think it's been established that you don't need a test boost, you just need a boost-boost.
I, for once, have also lost my lower abs in a mess of fat. I've never had much more than 5% bf at my highest, so this is pretty shocking to be sitting at 14-15% according to my scale. I would say that because of the water and inaccuracy, I would be at around 13%, but still.... it's weird. At least we're growing though. I did worry a bit about B vitamins and too much zinc, but I remembered that our bodies are pretty darn reziliant, and we're both healthy as far as we know. B vitamins can give you a bit of a rush too. I've come to the conclusion that zma isn't dangerous to my healty, and likely not to anyone our age. Don't worry too much about advertising. You take it with a grain of salt, do your own research and read logs from other people. There's lots of smart people out there, doctors and bio majors that appear on forums from time to time and also add to the debunking of myths. As far as xyience is concerned, farrrrr to mother-fuckin-overpriced. Don't bother. People say it works, but you really won't notice a difference if you buy the same shit online in bulk. You could even buy some zinc and magnesium to create your own blend of anabolic cocktails with less B vitamins. Not as effective but it works. Controlled anger and a real level of raw intensity is nothing to be afraid of. I think it's healthy to lift with that kind of intensity at the gym! I like it when no one's there on the weekend and I can grunt a little more than usual, or swear or whatever you know lol. It's all good, whatever works for you. Get in the mental game. I lift way better when I let a little bit of the anger and aggression out. I used to have the exact same sleep patterns are you dude. In highschool I would go to bed late at night, then just lay all night thinking about things. It would get so intense that it was almost like I was talking to people and living a second life at night, all by myself. No doubt it left me a little socially retarded, and that was probably a catch 22. I had some gnarly teeth in highschool so it lead to extreme anxiety which purpetuated my sleeping disorders, even though to other people I was regarded as pretty popular come to think of it (funny, friendly brown dude that smiles funny and everyone likes). Fuck me for all those years... what a waste of time, I should have slept and grown. Before bed, I get in my sleepy mode and won't even look at a computer or light source without squinting and covering my eyes. I'm serious about my sleep. I will ONLY stay awake if it means sex from my gf, otherwise I'm outty and goin to bed. Dude, you have to sleep! You can't procrastinate. An old gf said she had a sleeping problem and told herself to just kick it and go to bed. Simple enough, eh? Not to sound like an advertisement or sales rep, but I have so much faith in Controlled Labs. I wouldn't even mind working for them one day if it were possible!! But i recently got a supplement from them called Glycergrow, which is basically glycerol monostearate and free form taurine. You could try it out because it's cheap as fuck and my brother's lasted over 3 months... mine will probably last longer than that, i dont know... it's great though. I occaisionally do body excersizes on off days, and noticed that my back hurt when i do pushups or dips. You're not alone. Now i'm just gonna train abs at home, like today which is an off day. will do core excersizes like plants, the preying mantis stretch with a bosu ball, sit ups and twists... I wouldn't mind having some decent abs for summer... I'm gonna cut a little bit of body fat now that I've learned how to alter my weight. Going to only take one fat burning supplement and otherwise do things the natural way and just try not to lose muscle. Its all about working out effectively, efficiently and safely. There's so much that i ponder about all day, and it all has to do with lifting and growing my body properly. Its an interesting subject to stay preoccupied about, and I've learned so much about health and biology. I wouldn't take anything to boost testosterone unless you are in your 40's or older. It starts dropping at about mid 20's, but why do you wanna mess with your bodies hormones like that? Eat balanced and healthy meals 4-6 times a day. Don't overdo it in the gym. Get your cardio 3 times a week. I would say one of the best ways to get big would be to get a good lifting partner who will motivate you and allow you to perform those last 1 or 2 crucial reps.

And oh yeah, I did test boosters once and it just makes you feel a little on edge. I was stacking longjack tribulus and dhea. Wouldn't recomend it.

Have tried read up on clomid and nolvadex extensively (i get bored). My understanding was that these could be hard to come across for most fellas though, not like PHs and AASs are probably any easier to come across. If I got into that kind of territory, I'd make sure to take extreme caution as if things could end up a million times worse than they really will be. Kind of jealous of my friends who have done a cycle or two and got awesome gains out of it.. bastards. You know shitloads of this stuff though, i8an8th.
