Good solo songs to learn on the Guitar?

I want to learn a piece on my classical guitar of intermediate difficulty, for my grandmothers as well as just for myself. I want something either jazzy or classical or whatever. But something written for solo guitar, so that it sounds as it should alone.
Any suggestions?

I think I might just learn blackbird by the beatles for now. Its quite simple, but still has a little something to it. Shouldn't take too long to get down either, but I want to have it perfect. I'm also thinking tears in heaven, but that is a little cliche.

"Summertime" by Gershwin is a good one. Really, you could rearrange any pop, rock, folk, blues, etc., to suit your needs.

actually, a close family friend of ours...
it took him about 20 years to learn how to do it. one day he came over to our house and he fucking played this and it sounded EXACTLY like it.
i went nuts! i asked "how the fuck did you do that!??!?!"
he tuned his guitar to play it. and it was amazing. you just have to tune your guitar correctly to play it. he even showed me how to play some of the riffs off it! it was so easy!
there must be a post somewhere on the net of how to tune your guitar to play this tune correctly.

Have you tackled Sor's studies yet? They may be more beginner-intermediate depending on your skill obviously but I like them.

Sor studies are good, Check out the B-minor one very nice melody, not too difficulty, the main difficulty is in the emotion of it. But of course some Back always works, or just do Moonlight Sonata as everyone knows it and its very haunting.
