What a load of rubbish! Has anyone heard of this before?

I recieved this text from my brother. He had been talking to this guy who grows his own and he had told him that if after the inocculation the membrane(i'm thinking that by membrane the guy was reffering to the spreading mycelia) appeared purplish instead of white, the the shrooms would be more powerful but would cause coagulation of the blood.

I really had to dismiss this as a load of rubbish. I'm thinking hat this guy has made up a funny story about or bruising or contamination.

Have any of you heard this before?

Since Ive joined the shroomery, I have wanted to super slap myself a few times considering all the BS I believed back when I was purchasing semi-potent regects from the crop off the local provider. One of these was the belief that the blue on the stipes actually meant they were more potent !! *SMACK!

Let your bro in on the secret before he manages to kill himself and the rest of his friends with his purple shrooms. ^_^

Oh, and thanks for using the word rubbish...Seriously, the nerve.

Actually my brother only consumes that I grow, at least since I'm growing them. But he was talking to this guy, who thinks he is a world authority in Shroom growing (even though he hasn't even heard of the shroomery  :hulk:) and he told him all that stuff. So he asked me, and after sendig him an answer telling him it was a load of bullshit, here I am sharing this hilarious info with you lot.

I love the shroomery, full of information- I can read this stuff for days. I find it funny to listen to people talk about shroomies and not know what they are talking about. Sometimes I just want to correct them and set them straight but usually don't as to not accidentally reveal my hobby.
